Ever wonder what corner diffraction looks like? Ryan Pirkl put together some beautifully insightful videos based on his 3D “radio camera” measurement technique. See videos below:
New Research Program for Undergrad Cadets and Midshipmen
Prof. Vince Mooney and Prof. Durgin have been awarded a grant from ONR and AFRL to build a cadet-based undergraduate research program in cybersecurity. The program will involve a dozen or so undergraduates, mentored by Georgia Tech PhD students, hosted by Georgia Tech faculty.
If you are an undergraduate researcher in an ROTC/cadet program, contact Julie Ridings or Prof Durgin for application info.
How to Design Horn Antennas
Design of Horn and Open Waveguide Antennas at 915 MHzDocument ID: PG-TR-040813-YL |
Classic technical report by Albert Lu on the design of a horn antenna at 915 MHz. We still use this horn antenna in show-and-tell in the Georgia Tech antenna class. The report is a great primer on antenna design and measurement that I readily pass along to students who design or use pyramidal horn antennas.
Intro to Time-Domain Transmission Lines
Here is the first lecture in a series of time-domain transmission line modules that we use at Georgia Tech as part of ECE 3025 Electromagnetics. It is also an excuse to try the “embed” feature on the new site.
